The older I get the more I look back at those years spent at GW when there were 3,000 students in grades 3 grades. What a time to go to high school; spirit was high, we were in the prime of our lives, and school was our community. When I am up in Denver and pass by the school I can still see a time when boys carried girls’ books to class, when we had our own heroes within the class, and where an outstanding learning environment was offered to us. I still can sing the school song; not bad for a 60 year old. I hope some of the spirit returns to GW with passing generations.

I was looking at your site and did not see that my national championship was not on the website? A jump at Air Force Academy of 51’9” 3/4 indoor meet 1974. I also have the all-time record jump for all colorado high school athletes. A jump of 52’2” at Golden West Invitational Sacramento, CA summer of 1974. I want to thank you for your time. Go Patriots!
